Latest Updates from Our Project:

New Case Note, Werewolves, and VTT Support
about 3 years ago – Tue, Feb 02, 2021 at 04:22:22 PM

Hi everyone,

Just a quick note to say further work is going on. There's been progress in the art for Werewolves of Britain, which I hope will be with you soon now. I've also just released a werewolf-themed Case Note, the Oak and the Amulet, which you should receive on Backerkit.

I also thought I'd mention another project, Out of the Ashes, currently on Kickstarter. One reason for mentioning it here is that it has some stretch goals relevant to Liminal - virtual tabletop support on Roll20, RoleApp, and the Foundry, as well as a Creative Commons License and systems reference document for Liminal. Here it is:

It's 2021
about 3 years ago – Thu, Jan 07, 2021 at 03:08:00 AM

Hello everyone, and I'm sure we all share the hope that 2021 is a better year than 2020. Progress on further stuff for Liminal is proceeding, but it's sadly been slow, because... [waves hands vaguely at the world]. But there has been progress.

Art for Becky Annison's Werewolves of Britain is starting to come together, and it's going to be glorious. To see what I mean, take a look at this spread by the ever-talented Jason Behnke.

The next two supplements are also ready to go into art and layout. I also have a couple more Case Notes almost ready to go, with great plans for more, including some possible new authors.

Still, it has been slower than I had hoped, and for that I can only apologise.

Another thing I'm planning to do soon is launch another Kickstarter, for a new game, Out of the Ashes. You can find some details here:

You may notice some mechanical similarities to Liminal. You can sign up for notification for the pre-launch here:

It's exciting! But while sharing the excitement, I want to stress that it's in no way slowing things down when it comes to getting Liminal stretch goals to you, and I hope there will be many more coming this year!

New Case Notes and Progress
over 3 years ago – Thu, Jul 23, 2020 at 01:22:18 AM

Hi everyone! Just a few quick notes on various stretch goals and what's been happening with Liminal. I hope you're all well and safe in these troubled times.

  • Pax Londinium is now available from Modiphius in print and PDF, and will surely be making its way to game shops. Everyone who pre-ordered should have their copy by now; if not, please let me know!
  • I've just distributed two London-based Case Notes by Neil Gow (author of Pax Londinium), One Boggart's Rubbish and The Eyes Have It. Another Case Note by me, The Oak and the Amulet, is coming shortly. Another Case Note, The Giant of Horcum is in preparation. That will make a total of nine Case Notes. The plan is to release them all as a collected book, in both print and PDF, though more art and layout is needed before that stage. But it should be coming this year.
  • Art continues for Werewolves of Britain. The book is written and edited. I hope the book will be ready this autumn. I don't want to promise a specific date. A text draft is already with backers.
  • The next two books in the line, Faeries and Folklore and Novocastria, are written and edited. Backers should have text drafts. Art and layout on those will follow Werewolves of Britain.

Finally, a note to backers at the £100 level. For several of you, I still owe you a game! Please get in touch if I haven't contacted you so we can arrange a session online. Both you and your group are invited.

Pax Londinium and Werewolves
almost 4 years ago – Mon, Apr 06, 2020 at 05:54:08 PM

Hi everyone!

I hope you're managing to stay safe and well in these troubled times. Just a few announcements today.

Firstly, the Pax Londinium final PDF is ready and with those who pre-ordered or who backed at the level to get it anyway. It will be available soon to others in general electronically, and I hope we can agree that the book is fantastic. Congratulations to Neil Gow and Jason Behnke.

The bad news is that print will be unavoidably delayed. The files are ready, and we'll push the button as soon as stability has returned.

Another adventure will also soon be available electronically, and that's Paul Baldowski's Repairer of Reputations. With a couple more things in the pipeline, we'll soon have enough to compile the Case Notes into a single book.

Finally, Becky Annison's book, Werewolves of Britain, is receiving the magic of Jason Behnke. I don't want to give a release date yet, but I can hear the howls of approaching wolves...

Pax Londinium PDF
about 4 years ago – Thu, Mar 19, 2020 at 02:47:22 AM

Hello everyone!

As you've probably seen, I've sent the Pax Londinium PDF to backers at the appropriate levels and pre-order customers. If you should have received it, and haven't please let me know. The next step is getting print copies, which I'm now working on.

As for other supplements, Jason is hard at work now on the art for Becky Annison's book, Werewolves of Britain. There will be more case notes coming - one from me, and some from Neil Gow set in London. When those are done, I'll be looking at compiling the notes into a book, to be released in PDF and print. Both will use the same pre-order process as Pax Londinium when the time is nearer.

Meanwhile, I know these are troubling times, but I hope everyone is staying as safe and healthy as can reasonably be expected, and that such things as Pax Londinium bring you some cheer.
